Call for a Code of Conduct to protect the bereaved and their memories of their loved ones

Why a Code of Conduct is needed

Memorial websites help the bereaved with their healing and grieving but recent events have shown that in the absence of regulation, a Code of Conduct is needed to ensure the needs of the bereaved are always put first. A website memorial is a personal expression of feeling and memories. A person creating a website memorial needs to be confident that they can control what goes on their site and they need to be able to trust whoever maintains it for them.
MuchLoved is a leading memorial website and we are approaching other memorial providers and inviting them to help develop a Code of Conduct to better protect the bereaved and their memories of their loved ones. If you or your organisation would like to help define a Code of Conduct or would be interested in signing up to such an article, or, if you just have suggestions for its aims or how it should be implemented, then please contact us.
